Common Headaches

Headaches are a very common ailment in Australia. According to the National Health Survey, headaches are reported by over 50% of the population. Migraine headaches are the most common type of headache, with an estimated 10% of the population experiencing migraines. Tension-type headaches and cluster headaches are also common. Factors such as stress, lack of sleep, and certain foods can trigger headaches.

There are several types of headaches, each with their own set of symptoms and causes. Making the correct diagnosis is often an overlooked, yet crucial step towards formulating the correct treatment plan tailored to your individual preferences and health situation.
